What it takes to be a “Good Person”🦄🌸☺

I’m sure every single one reading to this blog would relate to this in some or other way…, all of us want to become a better person, but some of us don’t know how.

Every single day before going to bed I sit their and try to reflect and see if I’ve done anything bad or hurt someone or see what can I do to become better.

Not only that, but I have a goal of leaving an imprint on the world for doing great things. By setting aside some time each day to reflect on what behaviors were good and bad, I have the opportunity to grow.

Just to be honest,
Me myself, I struggle each day to improve myself and to get better in every way I can. It is not easy, but trust me it is the most beautiful🌸 thing. Like they say…

“There is never an excuse for not being a good person”

So, how to be a better person?

Here are a few ways to become a better person through self-development:

  1. To willing to change
    In order to become a better person, you have to be willing to change.

Change is the only way you can help grow and progress into the person you want to be. Most of them are strictly against changing, which can make it hard to grow!

When you keep an open mind and are willing to change, you are able to grow into the person you want to become.

  1. Fling your anger
    Most of us ruin those innumerable subjects of life by letting anger and rage alter the decision-making skills. TBH, I am a very angry person, and it is very difficult to control the anger especially at the times when someone gets into your skin.

But anger only destroyes and effects my mental health with an increase of my blood pressure.

Controlling anger is an extreme difficult task to master, but trust me it’s is very beneficial and makes you the most beautiful person.

Find some way of relaxing your nerves when you’re angry, I just remember my lord and try to calm myself and it always works for me.

  1. Forgive
    Forgiving someone who’ve hurt you is very difficult. Whenever I get upset on someone I simply ignore them and maintain distance.

That is the simplest you can also do, as wishing them bad or using curse language or being bitter on them for the rest of your lives will make it more difficult on yourself and would cause you mental illness.

Forgive the person who’ve hurt you or did wrong to you and move on quietly🌻

  1. Listen to people
    Okay, so here all I have got to say is…People are extremely busy with their careers, families, and lives. Everyone is in a rush, but people rarely ever have time to listen to what others have to say.

I have always learnt it from my dad that listening to people and giving everyone a voice is one of the greatest things you can ever do.

  1. Being a good friend
    You might be a terrible friend and not even realize it. That should scare you. Really, it should!

Sometimes our actions and the words that escape our mouths stop going through a filter. Then eventually we’re not even conscious of how horrible we are as a person/friend/lover/whatever.

There’s no universal method to being caring without being too pushy. Instead, you’ve got to figure out what works best and adjust as needed.

Good friends know how to pick up right where they left off no matter how long it’s been since they last saw each other.

Music has always been really important to me. I love listening to songs when I’m taking photos, writing, sitting in the car or walking outside; not a day goes by when I haven’t listened to any song.
The music I’m listening to changes a lot, but there are some songs that never tire and I’m always in the mood for.

One artist I’m currently obsessing over is Maisie Peters. TBH, I really didn’t knew who she is, but then I discovered her music a few weeks ago and wanted to share it with the world as it made me feel so alive.
I really love all the songs she’s made so far but this one hits different – Stay Young.

Like snakes shed their skins periodically, I have come to think we shed a bit of ourselves too. But unlike snakes, we don’t completely walk away from the skin we shed.

We leave a bit of ourselves behind, with everyone we meet, and everywhere we go — also carrying back with us bits of others in the shape of memories as we walk away.

Memories don’t, they never fade away completely. Yes, we keep pushing them away consciously as we try to move on from any kind of toxic relationships or toxicity – as one should!

I used to be afraid of memories. Of losing the good ones. I used to think that perhaps there was a limit to how many times we could remember something and once we had exhausted that number, they would be no more.

So many people we love or hate, so many we interact with in various positive and negative ways.

In the end,
Those happy memories are what gives you hope to live on and keep going, And those happy memories you make will be with you forever and ever, and when life gets tough in the hereafter it will be those miniature tiny beaming, gleeful memories that pop back into your mind and help you smile and get through those crazy rugged times.

Ever heard of long distance “Friendships”?

Long distance friendship are those that can get stronger from the miles that they apart, where there is anything that can prevent you from being friends.

Friendships on their own can sometimes feel difficult to manage let alone maintaining them when there’s distance. Ever since I moved to an other city aftey eleventh grade, I’ve seen many of my friendships either grow stronger or slowly fade away.

Whether it’s as simple as graduating high school or deciding to teach English across the world, I’ve been through it all.
Here are some of my own experiences in maintaining long distance friendships…☁🌼

A tiny sneak peek to my own long distance friendship🐾🐣

Before I move on to the fun stuff, I want to quickly address a harsh reality. If I’m being completely honest, it’s likely that you won’t be able to stay in touch with everyone that you’d like to, in the way that you may like to.
BUT let me also say that this is a harsh reality likely to happen no matter where you live.

What I’ve seen from my own personal experience is that some long-distance friendships take more effort and some seem almost effortless. Some friends you’ll talk to every day, and some you hardly to talk at all, but still find it easy to stay close.
I can’t give you an exact formula here. It will really depend on the specific friend and the situation.

Before I go into this even more deeper, you should know, I’m pretty awful at keeping friendships in general.

Most either end in an intentional drifting apart or on pretty rotten terms depending on how dramatic things get. I never want to feel like I’m more invested in a relationship than the other person, so if I start to get that sense, I started putting in some distance.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve tried to communicate better, but sometimes it’s not worth the effort or my attempts don’t seem to have any impact.

My one and my only BFF🌸

With her things seem so effortless, she understands me like no other friend, she have been through all the phases of my life..thick and thin.

She knows all my secrets, she have seen all my weaknesses and have stood there for me… She knows how to handle all my aggravate and all my sum of anger is well treated by her…💞

I met her in my preschool, while we were in the same class and she had joined newly, she was a very shy and quite person….i remember no one actually tried talking to her and during the break I walked to her and introduced myself..she was yet sheepish and wasn’t able to open up candidly, haha.

It’s almost 10 years of our friendship now, and let me tell you, these years were not at all very pleasing and alluring, hahhaha, both of us have been into fights “Cue eye roll” , and went days and weeks not talking or even not looking at each other.

Once her dad had to get involved in elucidating on our disagreements , haha, as it was our birthday the next day and both of us weren’t bending or compromising on the things that were erroneous. (for the people wondering, yess our birth dates fall on the same day💜)

Our communication is by no means perfect, and it’s taken me a little while to accept that we communicate differently, but the same level of care is still there.

Despite of all these reasons, She stood by my side, have made me happy, made me laugh until tears have rolled down my cheeks, haha, those birthday texts. Instagram throwbacks. Little care packages or gifts. Or just anything that fits our friendship. She have always been protective towards me and this bond🍒

I can just indisputably scrawl down pages and pages defining her and our pure and sparkling bond. But I may make a part II for itemizing the bond of ours, as that amusement might not fit into a few paragraphs. Haha.

Just like “they” say, a little effort really does go a long way. And when it comes to being a good friend, I’ve found this statement to be more than true. All you have to do- make sure your friends know that even though you’re not physically there with them, you’ll still always be there for them.

App’s do it for you!

Well, there’s really no denying it- we live in a world completely consumed by technology. Luckily, when it comes to long-distance friendships technology is here to make things easier! With smartphones and laptops, it’s easier than ever to stay in touch with friends while living abroad.

Using apps to stay in touch with friends may seem like a “DUH!,” but the truth is, your apps won’t actually do the work for you. You have to use them right!

And yea… That’s about it.. Shout out to my little dwarf🧙‍♀I miss you and wish to catch up soon…love ya💜

Easiest Fudgy Brownies🤤

Okay… We gonna rewind to Valentine’s Day. I’m single. My plan is to watch movies with my dadzu and to eat some delicious turkey dinner.

Now… As the sun went down I was badly craving for brownies – like, I really need brownies for aforementioned reasons—and proceed to pull every baking book off of my shelves in my search for my ideal brownie recipe.

I wanted rich, dark, chewy, legit café-like brownies with crackly tops. I didn’t want those gooey, fall-apart, stick-to-your-front-teeth brownies.
I also didn’t want health-ified brownies or brownies swirled with cheesecake. I wanted one perfect brownie. Sometimes a girl just needs a brownie, you know?

Five batches of brownies and a bunch of brownie research later, I think I’ve found it. I learned a lot along the way. I learned that in order to achieve the shiny, crackly top, you have to stir the sugar into hot butter so it melts.

If you have never made brownies from scratch, give these a try and I promise you’ll never reach for a box again.

(For about 9 servings)

• Good quality chocolate, 225 g
semi sweet

• Butter 12 ts
(Room temperatured, not fully melted)

• Sugar 250 g (1¼ Cup)

• Egg 2

• Vanilla Extract 2 teaspoons

• All-purpose flour 95 g (¾ Cup)

• Cocoa Powder 30 g (¼ Cup)

• Salt 1 teaspoon

Prep Time : 15 minutes
Cook Time : 30 mins
Total Time : 45 minutes
Category : Desert


  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F (180° Celsius) with a rack in the oven. Line a square baking pan with two criss-crossed pieces of parchment paper. Grease the parchment paper.
  2. Chop your chocolate into chunks. Melt half of the chocolate in the microwave, this usually takes about 20-30 seconds. And, save the other half for later
  3. Now pick a large bowl, mix your butter and sugar in an electric hand mixer, if not a blender then, beat vigorously with a wooden spoon, Stir until you no longer see streaks of flour. Then beat vigorously (put those arm muscles to work!) for 50 strokes with the wooden spoon or spatula.
  4. Whisk in the melted chocolate (make sure that it’s not too hot or else the eggs will cook).
    Then, sift in the flour, cocoa powder and salt.
    Fold to incorporate the dry ingredients, being careful not to overmix as this will cause the brownies more cake-like in texture.
  5. Now, fold in the chocolate chunks, then transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake the batter for 20-25 minutes, depending on how fudgy you like your brownies, then cool them completely(make sure you don’t bake them like a cake, brownies are more moist and fudgy in texture)
  7. Slice, and serve them with a nice cold glass of milk… I also love pairing them with salted caramel ice-cream (kheeekheee)

Menstrual Awareness🌼

In India menstruation is an absolute taboo topic.

But… My friends, both male and female talk about it quite openly and help each other when we feel weak during these days.

I think it is really important to accept it the way it is and realize it is an absolutely natural step in every women’s life.

I’ll talk about some of my experience with my first menstruation and how I dealed with it:
I had got my first period at the age of 12, which was quite late compared to my other friends. I was excited and equally scared as my mid-terminal examinations were going on, and I shared everything with my school mates as even they shared their own experiences.

So… I thought I will finally be prepared to “Become a Women”.

The first time is always terrible, it was painful (it is even now, haha) and woke me up in the nights (which happens even now).

Yes, I was aware as in what was going on, but I wasn’t used to bleeding constantly so I got a bit scared, ‘my mum’ and she helped me to calm down and explained how to wear a pad. The next day she told me for a walk and we got ice-cream, infact I was given a lot of other things to eat to feel energetic and fresh. I was feeling proud and mature.

• Keep yourself warm, wear socks cover your feet, cover your waist – I love wearing cardigans.
• Apply hot pack on waist and lower abdomen, this will relax muscles of uterus and ease the pain.
• If you’re bloated, eat banana, drink warm soups, herbal teas, and lots of water.
• Self Massage – massage your feet, ankles, abdomen with oil, this encourages blood flow and relieves pain
• Try doing some exercises, do not be rigid on yourself, practise a few simple and moderate exercises as it will help improving blood flow and calms mind!


Cramps are real. So, so, so real. Basically, all the stuff women complain about in movies and a Cathy cartoon are real, so please don’t question it because it’ll just result in you never to see her tomorrow.

Yes, we really do crave chocolate. It’s biological, and it can’t and shouldn’t be messed with. Just dump a bag of candy bars on our face and leave us alone for a week. Everything is gonna be OK.

You can help. Like, seriously, just ask us what we need and then get it for us. Maybe it’ll be purchasing a cake from our favorite bakery or maybe it’ll be massaging our backs until we gratefully pass out. Whatever it is, if you do it, we will love you forever, ever.

Just because we cry doesn’t mean we’re “moody.” Very real shit is happening with our bodies and minds and so the best thing you can do is:
(1) Just listen while we complain
(2) ply us with chocolate. Also, maybe a hug or two if we’re not feeling too bloated or rage-y.

We have to plan outfits around our periods. I haven’t worn anything white mid-month since I was 14.

A guy can’t blame my period for anything but I can use it for everything. That’s in the Constitution. Look it up.

Just tell us we’re beautiful and give us candy. And you’ll be golden. Until next month, that is: Laughs like a Disney villain and then falls asleep in a pool of my own chocolate drool.

Road Trips

I was 4 since I started taking trips, with family, friends, friends in the form of cousins….!

9 out of 10 trips were never planned…haha, the most amusing part is a true traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving!

It used to be so instantaneous, and my family members be like : “Chalo, let’s go on for a trip!”
“Where : pata nahi, let’s just leave and the roads will decide the destination..” (okay… That was quite a little dramatic, haha) No, but seriously, trust me, my family are such gypsy’s that trips and picnics are like oxygen to us , Hahaha, and the most prime reason is, it keeps us all connected!

Picnics come in all forms and they’re magical things because you don’t really have to follow rules or etiquette – simply sit in the sun or the shade of a mossy tree, take off your shoes, remove your tie and lie back in the cool grass, all while enjoying delicious treats and the company of loved ones.

We are so crazy for road trips and our timings are always so prompt, kheekheee, never it has been scheduled, at times I have sacrificed my deep solace sleep, “aaarrrgghhh” for the trips…My dad wakes me and my mom up and tells us to dress up and pack our bags ‘quick’ in that electrifying voice… Hehe. My dad have an immense relish for tours..!

I can never explain in words how stupefying are all the trips we have taken till now…!

Those high spirits, cheer, laughter, livelines, enthusiasm, zest ….etc etc are never expressible!

And… We always have this kind of competition between us as in who’s gonna play the best songs all over the journey… And I’ve always won (no doubt!!) as I’ve got the best taste in music… Ahheemm!!

You know.. My aunt always have asked me for my playlist and she locates my songs in her iPod, I mean whyyyy!! I hate sharing my songs with anyone… It’s as if I own all of them!

It doesn’t really matter WHERE you go for a picnic, just be sure to go, because it’s good for your soul.

I saw a quote somewhere that went something like “Happiness is like a potato salad that, when shared with others, becomes a picnic.” That sure sounds like happiness to me!

School Days☁🌸

Kheekheee, I’m so “eXcITed” !!

From where do I start…. Okay….I’ll begin from kicking off my mornings!

Every single day I roll out of my bed, refreshed, 6 am.


Here’s how my waking up actually looks like:
Meerrrrrgghhhhhhhh!!!!! – The sound of me sleeping.

After a 3700 alarms, my mom comes in and frantically calls me out of bed, After a couple more minutes I finally convince myself to wake myself out of the bed! Huuhhh!!

Tip toeing down the stairs, waiting for Ganga Akka to bring my cup of Horlicks on the dining room table.
Ohh… Wooopsie, I’m sorry I forgot to introduce Ganga Akka….everyone put your hands together for Ganga Akka, “Ms.Maid”

And…. Then, I snug myself with one socks on my left leg and the other leg swinging around in air on the porch for 1 to 2 hours in a earth-toned blanky or shawl writing in my moleskin notebook.

By the time I’m done, I quickly head to freshen up and iron my uniform and pack my bag with the books according to the time table ( And, my mumma yelling at me to conclude all these work last night itself and not to rush everything in the mornings) but, I always forget to do it at nights…Hehe, I’m such a bhulakkad, aarrggghh!

Then I dress up, and quickly head up to the dining room back again, waiting for Ganga Didi to bring my Pb&J sandwiches with soaked almonds, sliced banana’s and scrambled egg’s , why cannot I just get donuts in my breakfast… I mean, why not?

And thennn…..enters the role of my dadzuu, he comes up straight and first checks the glass of my milk and runs behind me to finish off that yukyy brownish part of the milk where all that protein powder gets settled down at the bottom and gives an inadequate taste, I’m sure most of them are able to relate to this part… Aaarrghhh!

Later… He puts on the shoes on my legs while I am literally struggling to gulp that breakfast in less than 7 mins (okay.. That was quite an odd time, Hehe) Mmm… Probably, less that 5 mins. And then he brings down my blazer as it is mandatory to wear it everyday in my school except on Wednesday’s (a relief, hooofff!)

I always love missing my school bus as I would get a long drive with my dadzu to school (best start to my day), I love when he drives me to my school by himself and we listen to our favorite songs on the way!!!!

The best parts of the school days are already covered… But I would yet love to wrap it up by talking about the study environment!

It’s been a few years now since I’ve passed out of my school… And as a child we always like to grow up fast because at that age we feel burdened with the homeworks and assignments.

But… Now when we recall those instants it seems they are far..far…far more better than the current situation.

School days are definitely those golden days of our lives where we get so many freinds, had our happy/sad moments, lunch with them, played together and did gossips or Crushing on teachers and seniors and had a lot of fun!

Those most memorable moments are like picnics, Inter school competitions, sports day and those get together parties.
Yes… Being all grown up we have many advantages but yet, School times are the best and incomparable!

There are so many never ending stories of our school times but as of now I would love to conclude it here and, leave y’all with reminiscing with your school memories!
